Ndukwu Nominated For PL2 Player Of The Month

Layton Ndukwu's excellent form for Leicester City's Development Squad has been acknowledged with a nomination for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for August.
- Leicester City's Layton Ndukwu has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month
- Ndukwu scored three goals in PL2 for the Foxes, including a brace against Blackburn Rovers
- The young winger has been in sterling form for City's Under-23 so far this season
- An announcement will be made concerning the award winner on Monday 10 September
The 19-year-old winger appeared in each of City's three PL2 fixtures in August, as well as September's 2-0 win at Derby County, which propelled them to the Division 1 summit. 
Ndukwu's expressive attacking play has been a feature of all his outings for the Foxes this term, playing a key role in their brilliant start to the new 2018/19 season.

Following an opening day goal in a 1-0 success over Swansea City at King Power Stadium, Ndukwu took his tally to three with a brace during a 4-1 Holmes Park victory over Blackburn Rovers.
Ndukwu is among nine nominees for the first monthly award of the campaign and the winner will be confirmed on Monday 10 September.
