Leicester City have again been linked with a move for Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson as a possible replacement for Harry Maguire.
The Mirror reports that City will move for the 25-year-old if they relent to pressure from Manchester United and agree to part with the England centre back.
City have insisted categorically that they have no interest in selling Maguire having already parted with Riyad Mahrez this summer, but the link to Gibson is logical.
The Foxes have had an historic interest in the centre back and have tried to sign him on several occasions but have found the potential deal too expensive.
In fact, he was on the list when City moved for Maguire in a £17 million deal from Hull City a year ago.
Gibson consequently signed a new five-year contract to commit his future to Boro in October last year, which would make a deal even more expensive now.
However, Gibson remains a player who is admired within the walls of Belvoir Drive.
